Accused teacher in police custody

On July 31, criminals shot and seriously injured a teacher going to school on National Highway 106 in Madhepura. But he died on Friday night during treatment. The deceased Chandrashekhar Jha (47) was a resident of Karama Ward 1 of Sapardaha Panchayat of Puraini police station area.
Teacher Chandrashekhar Jha was going from his house to Madhya Vidyalaya Singhar in Alamnagar on July 31 like any other day. Bike riding criminals shot at him on NH-106 near Sheeshbanni diversion, at a distance of about one and a half kilometers from his house. The bullet hit the right side of his back. Chandrashekhar fell on the road along with his bike as soon as he was shot. However, after committing the crime, the criminals fled from the spot.
Here, on hearing the sound of the bullet, a crowd of people gathered at the spot. People informed the family of injured Chandrashekhar about the incident and admitted him to Puraini PHC for treatment. Where after first aid, he was referred to a higher center for better treatment. He was being treated at Mayaganj Hospital in Bhagalpur. Seeing his condition deteriorating on Friday evening, he was referred to Patna. He died on the way while being taken to Patna.
At the same time, the police have arrested Niranjan Kumar Bhagat alias Bablu, a resident of Madheli in Alamnagar police station area, on the charge of shooting teacher Chandrashekhar Jha. The accused is also a teacher at Madhya Vidyalaya Singar in Alamnagar. Udakishunganj SDPO Avinash Kumar said that it has come to light that teacher Chandrashekhar Jha was shot in an old dispute. The arrested teacher Niranjan Kumar Bhagat has a criminal history. Several cases are registered against him in Alamnagar, Madhepura Sadar and Bhawanipur police station of Purnia.
